Impressions from living in a 2400 strong rural Alaskan town on the north shore of Nushagak Bay.
Loose Dog Report—01/25/10
Wait, there’s more for this day. There was a brownish mutt milling around the post office at about 12:30 pm, looking up at people, hoping someone would notice it and be kind to it. Had a collar on.
Mile 6.1 Lake Road, going home—black and brown mutt came running out of Beatrice Grewal’s house (formerly the Shelly Wallace house), to bark and chase me. I stopped my bike, turned around, and pedaled toward it yelling at it. It retreated to it’s driveway, then came out again as I continued. I stopped again. It retreated to its yard, then cut across it’s yard to the road I turn left on, Polar Way. It stopped short of coming onto Polar Way after me, after I stopped my bike. Now, I think Beatrice still lives here, although I haven’t seen her here for a while. She didn’t have a dog when she moved here.
