Loose Dog Report—01/13/09
Mile 2, Lake Road, Inbound, around 6:50 am, Sassa Ruby house—medium sized tan husky mix came barreling out of the driveway, barking, growling, chasing me, and not responding at all to me yelling at it. This is a repeat offender—I’ve reported this dog every time, to no avail apparently. When I got to work, I called Sassa, and left a polite message about the incident, the “at large” law, and my expectation that this would not happen again. I called the Department of Public Safety and gave the dispatcher the report. I’m able to now concisely form my instincts and beliefs about at large dogs—once a dog “owner” lets their dog loose on public property, they just signed the permission slip that says I can train it.
Oh, does the last name look familiar? Sassa is the mayor’s sister-in-law, the mayor being Alice Ruby. And 6 dogs just suffered gruesome deaths at the Dillingham pound under Alice’s watch. Alice must really be on top of dog things.
